My account was working perfectly, payments were regular, and my daily spending limit was $500/day. However, overnight, Meta Auto reset my daily spending limit to just $20. Does anyone know why this happened and how I can increase my daily spending limit back to its original level?
Thanks everyone.

Is yours a personal account? As I understand it, personal accounts with high spending limits will see those limits drop if their ads face frequent rejections from Facebook.

I also faced the same problem sometimes. because facebook always update its algorithm, it leads to many new things to account.

Spending limit drops usually happen after billing triggers (like card declines or holds) or a spike in ad rejections. Clearing any unpaid balance and running a low-budget ad without touching it usually restores the limit after a few billing cycles.

FB is currently running verification checks, this could be due to an issue with the card, insufficient funds, or the card having expired.

Meta can lower the spending limit automatically even with a good payment history. I'd check Account Quality for any restrictions, then contact Meta support and ask them to review the limit. Sometimes it gets restored after a manual review

In my opinion, it's possible that too many ads in your campaign were rejected, causing your Facebook account's spending limit to drop to $20

Allergic dermatitis is usually caused by beta updates or, typically, your account experiences issues due to rejection, violations, or becoming a paid ad account. Please review the steps and payment account; it will be restored after a few successful payments and stable account operation.

Try making a $1 payment on that account; the limit might go back up to its original level—this has happened with Facebook before.
I have been working on that for three consecutive days, and the problem still hasn't been resolved.

No, that’s an ad account within Business Manager (BM), and I’ve been making regular payments—none of the transactions have been declined. Do you know any way to restore the daily spending limit to its previous level?

Usually happens after Meta sees a payment or risk signal on the account. Don't force scale from $20 fast since steady spend and clean payments usually help the limit recover.

There is something wrong with your billing, Try to contact meta support to fix or get new ad account.

Yeah, Meta can randomly lower the limit after an account review I’d check Account Quality first, and if everything looks fine, reach out to support.

Meta probably triggered an automatic risk review. Check your billing and Account Quality, then contact support for a review. Otherwise, the limit may increase gradually after more successful payments.

It's very easy I usually set the payment threshold at around $5.
After making 4 or 5 payments, the spending limit will simply increase;)

such a sudden change might seem rather irritating.in such a case i would look into ur payment history, rejected transactions, the quality of ur account nd any changes in ur ad account or payment option.if there was no problem with any of that i would send a request to custtomer support asking if the change was made due to some system issue or a review.

Facebook is currently implementing very strict updates; issues like this can occur with new accounts or payment methods that repeatedly encounter errors. You should verify your payment method to avoid service interruptions; Facebook will automatically raise your spending limit over the next few days if no irregularities are detected.

I’ve experienced this when running ads from a personal account. Try lowering the budget and linking the account to a BM, then keep it running consistently for about a week. After that, increase the budget by more than 20–30% of the daily limit, and the limit should increase again
