Local SEO has changed a lot with mobile searches and Google’s local results.
I’m curious what’s working best for others when it comes to improving local visibility naturally.
What’s the one Local SEO strategy you’ve found most effective?

Genuine customer reviews have been one of the strongest local SEO signals I’ve seen. Getting consistent reviews and responding to them naturally can make a noticeable difference in both visibility and trust.

GBP optimization done properly, accurate categories, regular posts, and genuine review responses are still the biggest levers. Citation consistency (NAP matching everywhere) and location-specific content answering real local searches also carry real weight. Review velocity and quality, especially recent reviews mentioning specific services, tend to correlate strongly with local pack visibility too.

local seo focused on google maps search results proper gbp optimization still matters the most.using right categories keeping the profile active with regular posts and responding real customer feedback can all help with local visibility.

Of course, even basic principles of GBP are very important for Maps. Moreover, I would pay attntion to the consistency of NAP, reviews and local relevance, but not to posts.

i wouldnt look at local seo as only google maps

for me the better setup is having the GBP strong but also building proper service + location pages on the site. if you can show up in maps and organic for the same local search youre not depending on one result type only

thats more valuable than just keeping the GBP active
