How effective is linking to a Google Document with links vs directly to the site itself?

Just wondering how many have used this method successfully.

I'm thinking of doing this all the time now vs risking my site getting penalized by reddit.

It is not effective at all, seems like Reddit is smarter than that. I tried doing this last year, and i tried other services besides google docs, but in vain

I’d be cautious with the Google Doc approach. Has anyone tested both methods over time and compared the actual traffic or conversions?
