Everyone talks about Reels when it comes to growing on Instagram, but I’ve been wondering about Stories…

Reels might be better for reaching new people, while Stories seem to be more effective at keeping your existing followers engaged and active.

So, what’s actually working for you right now?

Reels, Stories, or a mix of both?

Stories do not help with growth, they just help with engagement and connecting with your audience. Reels help with growth only.
 
I think a mix works best. Reels are great for reaching new audiences, while Stories keep existing followers engaged and give them reasons to return.

from my experience i realized that stories also worked but in another way compared to reels. in particular reels were good for targeting those followers that did not like my page, while stories helped to keep those people who already liked me enggaged. it was also easier to get feedback through polls nd questions.
 
I think stories are still useful for keeping existing followers engaged while reels are better for reaching new audiences. A mix of both can work well with stories building stronger connections and reels bringing fresh viewers.
 
I would go with a mix. Reels bring new people in, while Stories keep your existing audience engaged. Reels for reach, Stories for relationships

Yeah I’ve actually been getting more replies and DMs from Stories lately. Reels get the views, but Stories are where the actual engagement happens.

Stories basically does not help with growth. You have to focus on your reels.If your reels are good then your account will grow automatically.

A mix of both. Reels are for reach, stories are for the monetization and engagement of your audience with your IG page.

I think stories and reels both are good to follow as reels finds you new audience meanwhile story keeps your followers engaged with you hence you are getting benefits from both sides.

I actually see stories as being the second touch as someone sees ur reel and then a couple of good Stories will converts that into a message, profile visit or even follow.
 
Both help grow your account. It will help with engagement and conversion. But you can focus mainly on Reels. It will bring better results.
 
Stories don't really bring in new followers, but they are great for retaining the ones you already have. Reels bring the reach, and Stories convert that reach into loyal followers and buyers.
 
Instagram Stories never helped with growth, they only help interact and reach out to your current audience who already follows you.

What helps with growth is that you consistently post reels, some go viral, you colab with other people and your niche and truly build a community.
