Hey everyone,
I have been doing Gambling SEO for years and want know to run ads. Although I have a solid experience in Gambling I am a complete noob in Google Ads. I know it's not easy but I see many people successful and I will be as well so please avoid answers like just run white campaigns like I saw in other posts.
So here what I did. I launched a Search campaign on a brand new Google Ads account (zero history, no prior spend). Here's what I did:
- Search campaign, Manual CPC, targeting tier 1 european country, mobile only
- 1 exact match keyword: the name of a well-known casino game
- RSA with headline 1: "[Game name] | Official Website" (pinned to position 1)
- Landing page: my own site with a basic game that has the same name of the casino game, hosted on my own domain. Let's say for example I bid on aviator, I had a game with planes (generic game not related to casino at all where you fly a plane) called Aviator
The ad got approved, I received a few impressions, then the next morning: account suspended for "Unacceptable Business Practices."
The reason cited: "Make it seem like you're affiliated with another brand, organization or government entity when you're not"
I believe it was the "Official Website" in the headline may have triggered the flag, it makes it look like my site is the real, official site for that game.
My questions:
1. If I had used a neutral headline (without "Official"), do you think it would have been fine?
2. Is bidding on a competitor's brand name as an exact match keyword risky on its own, or is it only the ad copy that matters?
3. If I create a game with a slightly different name and bid on the competitor's keyword (but still mentioning their name in the ad), is that a viable approach?
4. What would be your strategy ?
Thanks for any input.
