What's your solutions for that content works in one subreddit but fails in another subreddit?

Hi,
Recently, I have experienced that when any content post in one subreddit that performs extremely well and gets lots of upvotes, lots of comment.
But when very similar content is posted in another subreddit it barely gets any traction. Do you also observe that if yes, then how do you adapt content for different subreddits?

Yes, I also observe it all the time.

One thing I learned is that every subreddit has its own culture. Even if two subreddits are in the same niche, the audience can be completely different. A post that gets hundreds of upvotes in one community might get ignored in another.

What I usually do is spend some time looking at the top posts in that specific subreddit. I pay attention to the writing style, post format, titles, and the type of discussions people engage with.

So my solution is not to reuse the exact same content everywhere. I take the same idea and adjust it to match the audience of each subreddit. That has worked much better for me than posting identical content across multiple communities.
 
If you want to test if some content will work or not in a subreddit even though they seems to be around same niche, i would say go with reposting the posts of other subreddit whatever is working, check the stats and its the fastest way to go without much testing.
 
Yeah, I’ve seen this happen too. I usually wouldn’t change the whole post just because it didn’t do well once. I’d change something small, like the title or first few lines, and give it another try later. Sometimes that’s enough to see what works better.
 
What works in one subreddit can easily be ignored in another because the audience reacts differently. You should focus on the subreddit’s rules, common topics, posting style, and audience interests before adapting the content.
 
I’ve noticed that older ideas can lose their impact when the topic has already been discussed a lot. Sometimes the same idea needs a fresh angle simply because people have seen similar posts before.
 
For sure. I’ve had posts do great in one subreddit and completely flop somewhere else. Usually I look at what kind of posts get engagement there and adjust the hook and topic accordingly instead of just reposting the same thing everywhere.
 
I’d also check the profile visits or clicks a post gets. Sometimes the post doesn’t get many upvotes, but it can still bring some interest.
 
I wouldn’t judge the content from just one failed post. Sometimes a post simply doesn’t get enough attention, so I’d try a few times before dropping the idea.

IMO subreddit subculture are more important than the actual content. i would maintains the basic premise but modify the approach, voice and hook to better suits that particular community engagement.
 
This is very common as this happens all the time. I think there is variation even within 2 sureddits of the same niche which is why one content resonates with a specific subreddit and not with the other. What I always do is, I don't post the same content at the same time. I give a gap of a few hours in which I study the second sub to see what sounds with them and alter the post to suit them.
 
Each subreddit is different, so the same post may not work in every group. I would keep the topic useful and make sure it fits that group. If it does not fit, I would skip it.
 
According to me, I would also check the comments on older posts before posting. They can show what kind of questions people in that subreddit actually care about.
 
According to me, sometimes changing the format can help too. If a text post doesn’t work, I’d try presenting the same idea as a question or a short list.
