Right on. It's easier to collaborate with groups when you are first able to contribute. A post which answers a question can generate more clicks than spamming your link to 20 groups.

Yes, Groups can still bring good traffic if the community is active and the posts are actually useful. They usually work better for discussion than straight promotion.
sure groups can send in great traffic too, just on the condition that u participate in the discussion. Cold drop links would not gets any response at all however, a helpful post which gets some comments can attracts great clicks indeed.
It seems I have more success thinking about groups as communities not ad boards. respond to a couple of posts before u post some thing helpful. The clicks just happens more naturally.

Yes, Facebook Groups can still bring traffic. It works best when you join groups that match your topic and take part in the discussion. Just focus on being useful and do not post the same thing again and again.

yeah groups still works pretty well if the group is active the key is sharing useful stuff instead of just dropping other stuff or links

Yeah, groups can still bring solid engagement since the audience is usually more active and niche focused, especially if you’re actually contributing instead of just dropping links.
If your topic of the content attracts people then yeah it will work well.

I think Facebook groups can still work for traffic when the group is active and the content genuinely fits the audience. Helpful discussions tend to perform better than direct promotion so relevance and consistency are important.
