Are Reddit account fillters getting stricter in 2026?

I have noticed some comments and accounts getting filtered even when the activity looks fairly normal. For people actively working with Reddit have you noticed the filters becoming more aggressive lately? What changes have made the biggest difference for you?

Reddit seems much stricter with account and comment activity now, so keeping accounts niche-focused, engaging naturally and avoiding sudden promotional activity has made the biggest difference for me.

ip consistency per account is huge rn. rotate different ips and reddit links them together instantly. also the first 2-3 weeks are critical - comments only no linking. accounts with real history > 6 months just perform better even if getting harder to age them up

Don't buy aged accounts they are usually low quality and extremly easy to detect those accounts.

Create your own and take it slow.

Rotating , getting proxies that's all waste of time in my opinon.

reddit definitely become more strict with account activity.keeping things focused on the topic and just being a normal part of the community

Yeah, definitely stricter — new accounts with low karma and no history get auto-filtered way more now. Best fix is to warm up accounts slowly, comment genuinely in niche subs for a week or two before any links. Also avoid shared IPs/proxies, they flag patterns fast.

Honestly, I can’t understand what issue you’re experiencing, so at this point it might also be related to the subreddits you’re posting in. I run a large number of accounts every day using an anonymous browser and rotating residential proxies, but I don’t have any of these problems.

Your comment can be removed for two reasons: Reddit’s filters or the moderators. But in both cases, the warm-up plays a role.

The single change that's made the biggest difference for people is adjusting those safety filter settings from "Moderate" to "Lenient" where possible, since the aggressive default is what's nuking a lot of innocent comments

I’m not having these problems. Maybe it’s because I work with accounts that are around 6 months old. I do a week of warm-up and then start commenting. Both blank accounts and accounts with karma work fine for me. About 90% of my comments remain visible. I usually make one comment per session, with a maximum of 3 comments per day.

Yeah, and the annoying part is there doesn’t always seem to be an obvious reason for what gets filtered.

Yeah, Reddit feels stricter lately, especially on newer accounts. Stable IPs and normal activity seem to matter more now. For multiple accounts, an antidetect browser helps keep sessions separate. Still, account history matters a lot.

What sort of things are you posting when making a promotional comment? Are you mention a site url or brand name?

Yes. Most here who are praising reddit aged accounts are just resellers.

I tried with 8+ accs. Only one that works is brand new made from scratch by me .

If you check my comments, I’ve always shown proof of what I say. If you want, I can send you a couple of accounts so you can see that the comments work.

been running 15+ accounts for 3 years. account age definitely matters but how you use it matters way more. new accounts work fine if you warm them 2-3 weeks, keep same residential IP, one comment per day max. aged accounts from sellers get flagged just as fast if you spam on them

Reddit has been constantly making updates to their spam control so yes it's stricter now and will be even more stricter in the years to come.
