Are personal accounts actually good for "BH" campaigns?

I notice some clients using personal ad accounts split from previously disabled BM2500s; is this a stable approach? I’ve examined this account type and identified two main drawbacks:
+ Low daily spending limits
+ Slow campaign approval times, leading to slow spending

Most Level 2 and 3 accounts are being flagged by Facebook's AI; they get disabled whenever you share content, add a payment method, or perform virtually any action. Personal accounts, however, are different , though this is only a temporary solution.

I've tried it, and as you said, there are accounts where even when a campaign is launched, it shows as active, but after a few days no spending is done, even though I've tried many different solutions without success.

find that personal accounts are not as effective as Business Manager accounts for running advertising campaigns; personal accounts have lower, less stable spending limits and are more frequently suspended. We need to focus on high-performing campaigns and always have backup accounts ready to switch to when necessary.

Facebook is currently locking a large number of accounts—even those within BM2500 are no exception. Personal accounts start with limited spending caps, but these limits increase as you maintain consistent daily spending.

For BH campaigns, personal ad accounts usually aren't the most stable long-term option, especially if they're being used after a BM restriction. The low limits and slower reviews you mentioned can make scaling pretty painful.

A properly established agency setup is generally more practical for consistent spend, rather than trying to push a restricted personal account harder.

yeah the instability alone would make me hesitant to rely on personal accounts.

Yeah established agency accounts are the way to go since you can usually spend more even before your ads are taken down.

I also use my existing personal account.
I found the review process to be very fast; I believe this also depends on the type of campaign you choose.
Spending limits increase gradually; I have had accounts with a limit of $20,000 per day.

Yes, I’ve tried using personal accounts as well, but I’m running into an issue where the accounts aren't actually spending the full budget. Is this a Meta-related issue, or is it specific to the accounts themselves?

Personal accounts come with significant limitations. In contrast, a Business Manager (BM) created on a clean platform—backed by high credibility and a valid activity history—operates stably.

That's right, personal accounts have quite a few limitations, so they tend to appeal to a more limited range of users.

The issue with personal accounts are spending amount limitations and delay in ads approval time, but using it for BH campaigns can easily get the personal acc banned.

That’s not the reason, mate. Facebook is currently sweeping Business Manager (BM) accounts, so even if you run "white hat" (WH) campaigns, you can still get restricted.

Personal accounts can be pretty restrictive. A Business Manager set up properly on a clean platform, with a solid history and good credibility, tends to be much more stable.

We view this as a backup solution while BM supplies are severely limited, rather than as a complete replacement for BM.

Personal ad accounts that already have previous spending and usage history are currently performing very well and are widely used by advertisers. They are generally suitable for a wide range of products, including black hat offers

As for the spending limit, it usually increases significantly only after the account has maintained a consistent history of successful payments over a longer period of time

They can work, especially when the account looks genuine and active. But I think it really depends on the campaign and platform.

See personally i would not call it very stable long term because the low limits and slow approvals can make scaling difficult, so I prefer a clean, properly verified account with good history.
