Why do my Quora answers get views initially but then completely die off?

Hello,

I have been answering questions on Quora for a while and noticed something weird.

Some of my answers get a decent number of views in the first few days, and then the traffic just drops and stays there.

I am not really spamming or posting tons of answers either.

Is this normal on Quora? Or am I doing something wrong with the questions/topics I'm choosing?

Would appreciate advice from people who have been using Quora for a long time.

I think the question you choose makes a huge difference.

I focus on quesions with real search interest but not 10+ identical answers already. Also, don't try to fix low reach by simply posting more. A few genuinely useful answers usually work better than a bunch of generic ones.

If answers are actually getting collapsed through that's a separate issue and worth looking at.
 
Yes, that’s normal on Quora. Answers often get an initial boost and then slow down.

Answers on quora get some boost initially and then their views drop down; this isn't new news on Quora, in fact Quora has been working like that for a long time.
 
The drop itself is expected, the useful number is the floor after it. Early views come from the feed, the long tail comes from search. If an answer settles at a small steady trickle, search is finding it. If it settles at zero, the question has no ongoing demand and nothing you write there will change that.
 
Yep, I have seen this too. quora can give an answer a nice little traffic boost and then suddenly go quiet . it comes down to the question’s demand and how long it keeps getting searched.
 
It may not be anything you’re doing wrong. Quora traffic can be very uneven, and newer answers can temporarily get more exposure. Pay attention to which topics keep bringing views and create more answers around those.
 
yeah, that’s pretty normal on quora since answers often get an early boost and then settle once newer answers appear. evergreen questions and genuinely detailed responses usually have a better chance of keeping traffic over time.
 
Yeah bro, that’s normal.you should focus on questions with steady search interest and add something genuinely useful rather than just posting more answers. Sometimes it’s the topic, not the answer.
