Thinking of creating an ad account on Facebook or Instagram but I've heard of people being banned, is this a thing? Has anyone else had experience with this recently?

yes its a common thing but you need to be accurate about your account details so it won't look suspecious and be consistent about it

Most bans come from rushing or using dirty infrastructure. If you're careful with your setup, you'll probably be fine. You should use a real phone number, not VoIP, and make sure your payment details match your business identity.

one thing nobody mentioned, dont open the ad account on a brand new fb profile. let the personal profile sit couple weeks with normal activity, friends, few posts, then attach the page and ad account. also new accounts have a low daily spend limit so if you jump from 5 to 100 overnight thats basicaly asking for a review. slow ramp is boring but it works

might as well create it or you'll never know, id make the ad account, let it sit for a few days then add payment method

Yes sometimes facebook scans accounts and they get banned at massive rates. I suggest creating an account to test it yourself, warming it up slowly and DON'T use automation. That is if you want to get advertised on facebook without your account being banned.

Yes, it’s quite acceptable if the accounts are genuine. In my view, I will try to ensure that the company data and billing information match rather than the age of the account

Yes, I had my (real) accounts banned so had to open new ones. That is just par for the course really.

using real credentials and realistic details will not get you banned, using information to don't add up or may likely belong to another person will surely get you in trouble.
