I’m thinking about starting a TikTok account and choosing a topic. How do you decide which topic to start with? Do you check the demand or competition first?

I'd check both, but I wouldn't overthink competition. If other accounts are already getting views in that niche, that's usually a good sign there's demand. I'd pick something I can actually make a lot of content around and start testing.

to begin with there is one particular niche wherein u may offer your own take on things rather than simply following what other creattors do. u need to see which questions continue getting asked which way the creators are answering them nd then fill some small gap that could be found there.

i would actually choose a niche depending on whether or not i will get bored of talking about it. After that i could review comments from the same types of pages because they mainly reflects actual audience demands.

I'd check demand first, then competition. Look for a niche with strong audience interest, lower competition, and plenty of content ideas you can consistently create.

Obviously high demand that also means it's a highly competitive niche. Already people are pouring the content there, and you should do something different to get notice. I'd say the first 15 seconds play a crucial role. Get an experienced crisp-cut editor to make the user pay attention for the first second without blinking an eye. Constant visual changes and different patterns are important factors.

Based on my knowledge, I'd look at demand first, but not ignore competition. If people are already watching and engaging with content in that niche, that's a good sign. Then I'd check how competitive it is and, most importantly, whether I can bring a different angle or make better content. I'd rather pick a topic with proven demand and room to stand out than chase something with zero competition.

I tends to choose the niche where i see myself creating content even on a mundane Tuesday not just the one with amazing views. When ideas flow, scaling the account becomes vry much simpler.

i’d start with something you actually enjoy, then check if people are searching for it and how crowded the space is. try making a few videos first and see what gets the best response before committing fully.

Choose a topic that you are already fimiliar with. Make the content unique and post constantly. Demand and competition doesn't impact on your reach. Engagement take part in this situation.

I normally just browse the niche as i could be a regular user and check out things which makes me stop rather than looking at competition first. If any kind of content continues to attract comments then obviously there was an audience there.

I would see the niche in which there isn't high competition and audience reach is good aswell as well as I will try to select the niche which could attract audience instantly.

Try picking a niche that isn’t as convoluted, that’s really the hardest part. Other than that I’d simply go with something that interests you personally, it’ll make it easier to generate content.

I'd probably start with a niche you already know or follow. You can always look at demand and what's trending afterwards, but having some actual interest or knowledge in the subject makes it much easier to consistently create decent content.

Trends can work too, but I'd rather build around something I actually know than chase whatever's hot this week. "Write about what you know," and all that.

to select a suitable niche for a new TikTok account, you need to clearly identify your strengths, audience needs, and your business or personal branding goals

i would start by asking what is the niche i am most knowledgable in or interested in. because you will end up reseraching and exploring that topic a lot. any niche can be made successful if you are devoted and dedicated to bring value in. don't chase what people are looking for or is in demand.
