Are YouTube Playlists Still Useful?

Playlists still make sense, especially when the videos naturally follow each other. Someone finishes one and sees another related video right there, so there's a better chance they keep watching, not a game changer by itself, but definitely worth using.

Yeah they are useful but not as much as they should be i think.......

Yeah I still find play lists useful. If the videos are related it make it easier for viewers to keep watching instead of leaving after one video.

In my opinion, the playlist is very well-organized; viewers will have plenty of suggestions for their viewing sessions.

playlists still help, especially when the videos naturally connect. I’ve seen better results when each video leads into the next one instead of just grouping random uploads together.
the playlist itself isn’t magic, but it can definitely improve session watch time.

Naming a playlist with the exact keywords users are searching for makes it easier for the videos to rank at the top of search results and keeps viewers engaged, encouraging them to watch one clip after another.

To me, a playlist remains effective when viewed as a series rather than just a folder of videos. The first video must give viewers a reason to move on to the subsequent ones; if the videos lack cohesion or aren't interconnected, the playlist cannot be saved

Hi everyone,
Do you think playlists still help increase watch time and keep viewers watching more videos?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Yes, it can help; there should be a professional, well-organised playlist that people show interest in.

Underrated when it comes to stacking time spent on a session and they might actually rank by themselves in searches if properly optimized.

Definitely still uses those for stacking session tym and they will even appear when you search sometimes if you keys them right.

Playlists are super handy for getting viewers to binge a whole run of clips on the same topic, but the key is that each video still has to be engaging enough to keep them from clicking away halfway through.

I think playlists are very useful, especially for channels that offer similar videos in a series and in parts. This way, viewers watch one part of the video and wait for the next part.

they can help but only if the videos actually fit together random videos in playlist don't do much .

Playlists can be very effective at increasing watch time for a channel, but they’re mainly suitable for channels that already have a large number of viewers and subscribers.

Defintely helps with retention, especially when someone just leaves their device run in and it plays though the entire playlist which happens more often than you think.

If a content creator had some episodic videos but make other content on the side, you best believe I'm going to their playlist to see if it's neatly compiled there. Having used to help manage an indie talent, I always made it a point to do that for some of the games she played since she tended to bounce between titles.
Now, whether or not that does something to nudge the needle one way or the other, it's harder to say for sure. Besides the niche subscribers who want to catch up on the specific content in your channel, I can't imagine it does a lot. It's more of a convenience thing than anything else.

I haven't used playlists on my channel, but I've still grown it. Each individual has their own opinion, but I will try it and let you know how it works.
