Are expired domains stili useful for SEO?

Yes, they can still work if the domain has a clean history, relevant backlinks, and no spam baggage. The quality matters more than the fact it’s expired.

Expired domains have also been used by me and I feel that they can be used effectively if there is any history of the domain and there are no issues with backlinks the key thing would be to look at the past content and linking domains.

You would be shocked that an expired domain will still leave a fresh new domain in the dust these days. It should have a good history, quality backlinks or you could plug new backlinks just to give a fresh boost.

Yeah, they can still work, but only if the domain has a clean history and relevant backlinks. Most expired domains aren’t magic shortcuts though - you really need to check what you’re buying.

Expired domains are useful if they have quality backlinks, no history of spam or punished by google, they will be very important in SEO.

No, they won't work in most cases, and you can see the price of expired domain dropped a lot, that will tell the real demands of them.

Sure, the decrease in price is a clear sign that the easy game , is no longer viable. The history of the domain and its relevance matter more than its authority.

I keep seeing people use them for different projects. For those who've tested them recently are they still worth the effort?
I have been some what successful in using expireds but that was only when the old domain was very similar to my new one. generic high metric domains were not really worth the hassle imo.

I think they can still work if you find a good one with a clean history. But yeah, it takes some digging now to find the right domains.

Expired domains are useful if they have A B C value (Aged, good Backlinks, Clean history). Aged TLDs can help avoid the sandbox for brand new domains, relevant backlinks show Google its authority is organic and ongoing, and with a clean history it can't be deranked due to past spam issues.

I just came here to see what other members are saying about expired domains. I haven’t used them myself in quite a while, although some SEO gurus are still selling them at premium prices. :)

since i m relatively new to SEO i was wondering about this as well. after reading up on this, it seems that expired domains can be helpful if they have a good history and relevant backlinks but i m assuming that the only the domain is not enough.what do u usually verify before purchasing an exppired domain?

expired domains still have value but I’m personally much more selective now. The old “buy a strong domain and slap a different niche on it” approach is risky since google flags it.

It depends on how the domain is used, like the continuity of topic and purpose on which the old domain was based and not just old backlink count.

“It depends on the method—some still work, but I’d only continue using them if they’re producing consistent, measurable results.”
