Hi guys,
Google is ranking the wrong page for one of my target keywords.
I already have a page focused on that keyword, but another related page keeps showing in the results instead.
What would you do to make Google rank the right page?

That's keyword cannibalization. Fix your internal links to point strongly to the right page, adjust anchor texts, or use a canonical tag from the wrong page to the correct one

First, check whether both pages are targeting the same search intent.
Strengthen the page you want with better content, internal links, and relevance. If the other page isn’t needed, consider merging it or adding a redirect.Check canonical/indexing issues in Search Console, request reindexing, and give Google time to reassess.

It will be worth verifying if the two pages have the same intent and if they have similar content it is also worth improving the targeted page through more internal linking and relevant topics for it to rank.

The best option is to have one unique page for the keyphrase which you want to rank for. Always create a unique page if the keyword difficulty and competition is high. If you feel manually you are unable to optimize such pages then simply use paid tools to get the pages optimized.

Check why the other page better matches the query before making changes. The content, intent, and overall relevance may be stronger, which could explain why Google keeps ranking it.
