Is reply marketing better than posting threads?

I've been wondering if a lot of people are overlooking the value of replies.

A thoughtful reply on an active post can put you in front of thousands of people, start conversations, and drive profile visits without having to create a full thread from scratch.

Do you get better results from posting your own threads, or from consistently joining conversations in the comments?

I remember reading about the reply guy method a few years ago and was intrigued by it. I have used a few versions of it over the years. I think getting in early on a conversation can be very beneficial but it’s a lottery as to which ones grow and become something.

With a few different accounts you can start to manipulate things in your favour a bit especially if you are clever in the comments below your own

Content creation veterans always combine both strategies, using thoughtful replies on high reach posts to quickly drive initial profile traffic, then leveraging original threads to retain followers and build authority over time.
 
Tried it by turning notifications on for top influencers, and was the first to comment most of the times, gained huge likes and massive profile visits, and after a while, despite slowing down on replies, sales funneled in. This happened before Elon bought twitter, users with no blue tick fought for the first role, and when you look at the benefits of the blue tick, Elon added staying at the top of other comments to the premium features, to prove how effective it is to a marketer.
 
Using reply marketing is a good way to get visibility, but threads help to build authorityy
 
I think it's a mix of both. Replies help people discover you, and your own posts give them something to stick around for once they visit your profile.

IMO replies are perfect for quick exposure especialy when there is something hapening on the thread. It takes more effort to make your own thread but they wrk better in positioning yourself.
 
Commenting will win threads. Here is why: You are more yourself and more honest when your reply a thread. Your whole weight of experience comes to bear when you comment. A comment/reply has more potential of a wilder read than a thread. Say you create your thread and it's about a certain niche that doesn't interest me. I won't even look at it twice.
 
replies for traffic generation, threads for conversion. if you only post threads without existing authority, you're shouting into the void. hit popular posts in your niche first to drive profile visits, then let your bio and pinned thread do the actual selling
 
it depends on your 'niche' skills, some people are more easier to create 'viral reply' that people will reply and retweet, while other is more towards creating a new thread for enaggement farming
 
Honestly, I’d probably do a bit of both. Replies can get you noticed when a conversation is active, and your own posts give people something to check out afterwards.
 
replies build the initial profile traffic, threads give those new profile visitors a reason to stick around. if you only drop replies without a clean pinned thread or bio offer, you waste half the incoming visitors. use replies as your distribution channel and your profile layout as the landing page
 
replies can work well for getting noticed especially active posts. but need your own content because that gives people something check when they visit your profile.using both together probably works best
 
replies can really good for getting visibility especially when the post already has activity. but posting your own threads helps build your profile over time.
 
it depends on the post. strong thread is better for long-term reach, but replying early on a busy thread can drive a lot of profile visits. I usually do both and track where the traffic actually comes from.

I mix both posting on my own threads and consistently join in conversations for maximum results.
 
depends on the niche, but a useful reply on the right thread can bring more attention than making a new thread nobody sees.
 
honestly a mix of both is better, but commenting is better it shows your character and people like it, it is more personal

I noticed that conversation is more important than a thread
