suppose creator X post a video then creator Y repost the video then more people see it more engagement comes then more recommendation signals that means potentially more reach.

I think reposts can definitely help, especially when the person reposting already has an audience that matches your niche. But I’d still prioritize shares, watch time, and overall engagement because those are stronger signals that people actually care about the content.

Sharing a post can significantly increase a video's reach, but in my opinion, likes and shares are still far more important.
 
reposts can definitely help put a video in front of more people but i wouldn’t rely on them alone for reach Shares watch time and genuine engagement still seem more important for keeping that extra exposure going
 
Reposts help, but I feel like shares still do more. If people start sending the video around to friends thats usually when the reach really starts picking up.

i would not evaluate the success of a repost based on the increased number of views only. a good repost will attract people who are interested in what you have to say nd that is much more valuable than just increassing ur viewership. all u need to do is to see what follows the repost.
 
Shares represent the best quality of content for the algorithm to prioritize pushing trends, which is much more valuable than reposting
