Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that some Pinterest pins get lots of saves but fewer website clicks.
Do you think saves are still a better sign of long term pin performance than clicks?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

saves and clicks kinda tell you different things tbh. saves mean people find it worth keeping for later, but that doesnt always turn into traffic.

if your goal is actual website visits then clicks matter more to you... a pin with tons of saves but no clicks usually means the image itself is doing all the work and people arent curious enough to go deeper. maybe test tweaking your titles or the overlay text.

both are useful signals just for different reasons imo

I’ve tested both saves and clicks, and I’ve found that clicks are still more valuable and deliver more immediate results. A save only shows that someone is interested in the content; it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll click through to view it, and the conversion rate tends to be lower.

i think saves mean you're not getting much traffic because people are saving it for the future though a click means that its catching attention instantly

Save are nice for long-term reach but I'd still take clicks more seriously if the pin is meant to drive to traffic. Depends on the goal really.

I think saves are a good sign but clicks matter more if the main goal is getting traffic A pin can get lots of saves without actually bringing many visitors

It certainly show that the content is worth something, however, when it comes to tracking growth, I would add saves and clicks too. It appears that a pin that gets lot of saves but zero clicks requires a better CTA imo.

I think both matter. Saves show people like the content but clicks are what actually bring traffic so I'd watch both.

You can compare saves and website clcks for a few weeks. then you can see which one is actually helping your site.

In my opinion saves prove that the pin is worth something but the clicks will tells you whether it is bringing traffic. I would track both depending on the whether reach or conversions are the objectives.

As user i never look back at mt saves soo i thinkk no, clicks are better

Yeah I'd look at both. Saves are nice but if you want traffic clicks matter more.

In my view, saves indicate something more like these people want this later whereas clicks are an indication of immediate intent. ur pin may have a lot of saves but do nothing to helps your website because a save does not mean anything for you.

I’d probably look at clicks first if the pin is meant to bring people to the site Saves are nice but they don’t always turn into traffic

Share are more important than clicks in my opinion because it is a sign that your pins are good and people engage and want to see them thoroughly later.

I’d say saves help with reach, but clicks matter more when u actually want trafficc

Saves help your pins get seen, but clicks are what really matter if you want people coming to your site.

Saves are still great for reach, but I’d take clicks any day if the goal is getting actual visitors.

Yeah, clicks are what really count if you want Pinterest to bring in actual traffic.

I’ve found that clicks are more valuable than saves. Clicks have the potential to lead directly to conversions, whereas saves don’t necessarily translate into conversions.
