Mostly relevant niche edits, guest posts, and a few solid local links—quality over quantity.

PBNs represent a considerable risk at this stage, while mass guest posting largely amounts to paying for placements on low tier link farms.

In my experience, PR is evergreen and works best if you have a semi established business and looking for brand authority. Have a credible footprint on Google news approved websites are good for ranking and also for AI SEO recommendation.

Mostly niche edits and real guest posts on sites with actual traffic, that's what's been working for me. PBNs still exist but I've scaled way back, too easy to get caught these days and the risk isn't worth it compared to a couple years ago. If the site's just parked with no traffic,

Yes, I would give preference to relevance and context over merely trying to get numbers.
The footprint and placement of the links have become very important for PBNs.

I think now backlink is not everything. just create best site without SEO error, write a quality content.

I agree. Backlinks are still useful, but they can’t fix a weak site. Good content, clean technical SEO and a useful experience should come first.

at the moment I seem to be more succesful in building just two relevant link compared to generating a large no. of links through backlinks. I seem to realize that relevancy nd link positioning are vital elements.

For a website, backlinks should not be the primary focus. A well-structured site and the consistent delivery of high-quality content are the key factors that truly matter.

I’m mainly focusing on niche-relevant websites with strong topical authority, real organic traffic, and a clean backlink profile. I prefer contextual placements on quality sites rather than bulk links, as relevance and long-term value matter more than just DA.
