Those accounts have not edit comments before.
I mean, you have probably edited comments before, and now Reddit has noticed the pattern.

Either way, Reddit has got better at detecting marketers, as per the quote I posted directly from them.

My business got nuked after 18 months of free reign spamming. I can't even get a microworker to make one comment for me now. This forum is littered with posts from people saying how hard it's become over the past month or so, which is exactly the time frame for Reddit announcing its updated filters.

Our accounts got massively banned in the past couple of days

I tried to link drop instead of edit as a test. a bunch of accounts either got banned or they didnt stick and removed faster (minutes or 1 hour) after i did it

only 2 are up after many attempts after a few hours. and i doubt they will be up tommorrow

so editing doesnt work and instant link drops dont seem to be working either

so im done

I been spaming on on reddit for a long time. I thought the 2024 march was bad when they overnight purged spam big time and it was bad but one was able to regroup and adapt after months

this is worse cause nothing or very little is going through and these are decently warmed up accounts. not worth doing anymore even if a small amount go through for th amount of work involved and once again even if a small amount of links could stick.

It’s common nowadays. If you’re editing/changing comment content after 24 hours most likely it’ll get flagged.

Yeah, I’ve noticed similar behavior. Editing an already-live comment can trigger Reddit’s spam/mod filters, especially if you add a link, brand mention, or promotional wording afterward. It can look like the comment is being manipulated after approval, so Reddit may flag or remove it even if the original comment was fine.

I had one worker dropping the same broken up link text over and over again, up to five times a day on the same account across many different subreddits. A few were removed but most remained.

In retrospect I'm amazed I got away with it for so long, but I thought once someone gets banned I can replace them with another worker. No dice now.

I can't even get one person to copy and paste a comment to a designated thread. Even when I up the pay, there's no takers.

I don't think aged accounts with high contributor scores are safe either. They might work for now, but it's probably only a matter of time before they're swept up as well.

i dont know the threshold your looking at but the accoutns i use have been warmed up over months very slowly. edits would work but edits dont seem to be working so i tried straight link drops and that just wound up causing alot of my accounts today getting banned.

i have 2 still up from todays test but i doubt they will survive by tommorrow im thinking they will be removed after 16 hours like usual when i try to drop a link straight away and considering most of my link drop today were outright removed soon after i did them or the account got banned after doing this.

part 2 was your worker using a clickable link or just regular text with a link mention as text form? i only do links

Yep I also noticed it same for posts I was posting, then editing and putting a link in now nothing works, I'm jobless now

It’s probably an easy tell for Reddit. I can’t think of a post i have naturally done and then went back to edit days later.

It was an AI written response to the thread with a broken link in the text, written as website com.
Those 2 stuck i just checked today 24 hours later. not sure why they stuck cause one had history of spam and the other was fresh from any history of it but all the other instant link drops i did caused banns or were removed within hours
so edits dont work and doing link drops right way yesterday testing a bunch caused instant bans or most to be removed so doing reddit is not possible cause these accounts had no spam hstory and they still got banned or removed instnatly out of a few and only 2 stuck

i probably tried like 6 or 7 differnet link drops and ultimately 2 stuck but ultimately i got like 4 acconts banned which is not sustainble cuse these accounts had months of warming up with many warmups. and when an account gets banned all the previous links on it get remved too with some that i tested that had history. so Reddit is over

so i guess written text with a com at t he end dont work youll get banned? I was thinking of trying that as a loophole but i know conversions would be lower
i seen one guy doing it alot but dont know if he will be able to do it now with the new update

Worth isolating one variable before calling it a blanket edit filter. The first post mentions the edits added internal links. If the removals all involve a link going in at edit time, that's a different trigger from editing itself. An edit that only changes wording, no link, on a comparable comment would separate the two.
I even tried only with reddit. Com link nothing else and it was removed again

yep seeing this alot with aged accounts now. reddit cracked down hard on edits after those llm filters. id just avoid editing links in, test posting without the edit if possible

link dropswith no edit arent working either most of the time. anyone having success doing straight link drops no edit?

Yeah that's another thing that changed, they didn't used to delete all posts associated with a banned account. When my worker got banned a month ago, I lost half my traffic overnight because all their posts got removed. The ones that still remain are from old accounts that got banned a year ago.

As for the way I posted links, it worked great because they would search my site so it also got me ranking top on search engines for my brand. I can't say for sure that's what got the worker banned though. They were posting five times a day every day, so I think it's more likely they were nuked because the new filters picked up they were making too many posts a day that contained the same phrases, and not because of posting links like that.

i think they started removing all comments when a account got banned like in the last few months cause they used to stick but i believe any ban i got in the last few montsh all the links i had done previously got removed also.

yes reddit i noticed in the last week or few weeks got more sensitive on how fast you post on reddit even normal warmup stuff like i had to wait awhile before doing each one or it would wipe out my account even before i had a chance to use it for spam lol
