I’m wondering which works better for a website: auto ads or manually placed ads.
Which one gives better results without making the site look too crowded?

I will suggest manual ads because it gives you control over your audience

I think manual ads usually look cleaner because you control where they appear. best choice is use a mix of each manually place the main ads, then use Auto Ads lightly to find extra opportunities. that gives you good revenue without making the site look too crowded.

Prefer manual ad placement.
It keeps the site cleaner.
Auto ads can sometimes feel crowded.

I usually run ads manually, as it gives me better control over everything.

It really depends on the site, traffic and layout. I’d test both for a few weeks and compare RPM, bounce rate and user engagement before deciding.

Auto bidding is more suitable for testing lower-value traffic and allowing Google to explore different opportunities.

Manual bidding gives you more control over your keywords, bids, and budget, allowing you to manage your ad spend more precisely.

I usually prefer running ads manually because it makes it easier to manage where the ads are placed.

Manual ads, you don't want to irritate your site visitors right?

I hate pop-ups, just like many others do.

for a clean website i would suggest you manual ad placement because i think it gives you better control and avoids making the site look more crowded.

I would suggest you to try manual ads because this ads give you more control and usually help keep the website clean while auto ads are easier to set up but can make the site look crowded.

Manual ads give you more control, While Auto Ads are easier to manage personally I’d test both and see what works best for the site.

If you want to create a more user-centric ad, I would say that manual ads are better. Placements can be chosen and the space won't be cluttered. While easier to handle and can generate higher revenues, auto ads can also be placed in odd locations. It really depends on your website and audience.
