Hello,

did anyone try this method before for example you list something on facebook MARKETPLACE as a phisical person and then run through facebook ADS and point to the marketplace listings - link does such method give any sales ?

I can see why this could be interesting for testing main thing I'd look at is whether extra ad traffic actually converts better than normal marketplace traffic since buyer intent can vary quite a bit
 
Personally, I have'nt tried this but it sounds like something that might work. Plus I don't see anything that can possibly go wrong. Let's try and note the outcome.
 
I've never tried it before; does that method yield results?

directing fb ads traffic straight to a personal marketplace listing link works for generating local inquiries, but CPMs and conversion rates are usually poor because users can't buy directly through a structured checkout page. A much higher ROI strategy is setting up a Fb/IG shop or sending ad traffic straight to a dedicated landing page/messenger for better tracking and conversion
 
You can't push products on Marketplace to the top of news feeds, but you can create Pages and run local ads for your items via Messenger/direct messages, website links, or even just a photo post with price and city. Many artisanal sellers do this.
 
This seems like a new method, not yet widespread, and usually those who are pioneers have a higher chance of success than anyone else, so I think you should give it a try.
 
I tried it , it sucks! Nothing new when u boost ads it does the same thing only roi is pretty bad.

Spend around $2000 fb is smart.
 
Yes, but the conversion rate is usually quite low compared to running traditional Fanpage ads.
 
I haven’t tested that exact setup, but it could be worth experimenting with a small budget. I’d track clicks and actual Marketplace conversions separately, since ad traffic doesn’t always translate directly into sales.
 
Using high-quality aged accounts or restored BM accounts makes a huge difference if you are running anything slightly aggressive. Fresh accounts usually get hit with identity checks almost immediately
 
Honestly I think it could work for the right products but I’d test it with a small budget first Marketplace buyers may not respond the same way as people clicking a normal Facebook ad

Yeah, it can work. You can promote a Marketplace listing with Meta ads, but tracking/optimization is more limited compared to sending traffic to your own website.

I'd test it with a small budget first and compare the actual sales/conversion rate. If the listing already gets organic interest, paid traffic can definitely help.
 
I gave it a try and spent over $3,000, but the results weren't ideal.

have you tried it? how did it work out for you?
 
The main issue with driving paid traffic directly to Marketplace listings is the complete lack of Meta Pixel optimization. Without Purchase or Lead event tracking, the algorithm optimizes purely for top-of-funnel clicks rather than actual buyers. You end up paying conversion-level CPMs for low-intent traffic
