Parasites usually win on raw speed because you're leveraging a site that already has authority and gets crawled regularly, so you can sometimes get a page ranking within days. PBNs tend to take longer, since links from fresh drops usually need some time before they have a noticeable effect. The tradeoff is that parasite placements can disappear just as quickly, whether the platform removes them or Google devalues the third party content. With a private network, the footprint risk is higher if the setup is sloppy, but at least you're building assets you control rather than renting someone else's authority.
