What is the reason for married couples doing less children now ?

Actually I think people can't find enough time to hassle for children although the technological advancement. Hense now a days children products are so high in price that even a middle class family have to think for this twice. This is also a reason.
Yes you right. There is so many reasons as I think about it lol

money, taxes, stress, govt overregulation, govt overcontrol.
People got a taste of freedom, better knowledge.
Even if in the past people were poor they at least had a house. Having a house in western countries today = LUXURY, imagine that a trash house in West EU is around 200k, and you need to invest 100k more.

You cannot even build your own house because you will get overwhelmed with regulations, certifications, payments, taxes, waiting and etc... all this before you even started.

So raising a child in 40 m2 for which you pay over $1000 / month while babuins in govt make new regulations every day and can crash your business overnight, is not what id want

I think it depends on the couple's understanding ofcourse there will be financial things, mental peace, sacrifices, and much more. Every regions people mindest is different. So I say it's only understanding.

From a psychological perspective, couples today have fewer children not only because of financial costs, but also because they are more aware of the pressure and sacrifices involved in raising children
They want more time for themselves, their careers, personal lives, and a less stressful lifestyle. At the same time, they want to make sure that if they have children, they have enough resources and energy to raise them well
People may not want children any less, they simply think more carefully about the price of parenthood.

Because we're thankfully moving away from the traditional view of marriages that they have to have parenting attached. Many couples get married and are more than happy being childless.

There is a theory that as countries get richer and more developed, people tend to have fewer children.

Elon said it one interview. Irony is he did not follow it himself but we can call it exception for the big shot he really is.

Alot of factors that were not very existent in the 1950s to 1990s.

- Cost of Living
- Culture changes
- Feminism

One of the biggest lies pushed over the last 25+ years is that woman should prioritize getting a career in your prime working for a boss who could care less about you (you're just a number to them), wasting your best years on that job instead of focusing on having a child during your prime years.

So much is broken with our society and it's only going to get worse.

can't raise children if you can't afford it. plus its a significant time and effort investment that a decreasing number of people are ready to do.

in some peoples heads its over thinking, In some countries its just not feasible you have to remember all nations think differerent when planning children. In Germany the parents think till the child has finished university some even think beyond and then there are the ones who just dont care but well life just goes on.
