Does reposting new account's content on a much older account have a positive effect?

Yeah reposting to Stories from an old established acct genuinely helps, it's just cross-promotion (same as any creator sharin their new project on their main), n a story repost sends real followers to check out the new acct

Yeah there is a lot of positives to be had. Due to age, your old account might not be as effective as the new therefore, having fresh contents routed to it would improve its performance.

As long as you legally own the content then you're fine. If you don't though you can get a DMCA strike and possibly get banned on both of the accounts.

Even the account that reposts? I can see some people using alt accounts to repost, and those accounts are fine so far.

Stories with a mention sticker work pretty well for this, or you can just make it a collab post so both pages share the reach, I wouldnt bother reuploading it directly to the old feed though
If you want to attract old followers to your new account, that's a good idea.

it can give the new account a small push if the old one has real engagement but don't expect big results at start

yes, in terms of small push though if you really want to get real reach, you should start posting on the older account
