How to outrank keyword stuffed local listing on google maps

I have a client for local SEO, his business is CCTV installation and maintainance.

All his competitors on Google maps have some sort of keywords in their names. like CCTV, CCTV in delhi, security, etc.

Despite us having more original and positive reviews, content, NAP, we are not ranking on maps for our location. it frustrates me what can I do?

Keyword stuffing in the business name isn’t necessary. Focus on a properly optimized GBP, strong local relevance, consistent NAP/citations, quality local backlinks, and genuine reviews. Also check proximity and the primary/secondary categories—those can have a big impact on Maps rankings.

I had be more concerned about proximity nd relevancy rather than stuffing. once you get that part right, local link nd engagement can do the rest.

Such keyword-rich names can be helpful, but this should not be what you pursue entirely. Look at the proximity, the main category, their service areas, and if they have more citations/backlinks than you do; all of this will quickly trump the review count.

I’d first audit the profile against the top 3–5 competitors rather than trying to copy their keyword-stuffed names. Check the primary category, services, service area, website/location relevance, review quality, citations and local backlinks. Then build topical + local authority around the CCTV services and target areas. If competitors are using names that don’t match their real-world business name, report those listings instead of adding keywords to your own name
 
It will do no harm in studying what's working for your competition. But don't chuck your name full of keywords. Rather build your profile gradually to gain authority naturally on Google. The results you want may not come as fast, but you will laugh last

Instead of emulating the keyword-heavy title strategy, I would focu more on proximity and primary categorization. Proximity nd relevancy plus engagemnt could bridge the gap, imo

In my opinion, you should pay less attention to reproducing titles with high keyword value nd more attention to proximity nd main categories. relevant locals, links, and interactions could compensate for this.
 
I’d focus on proximity, category relevance and local citations rather than copying their keyword-stuffed names. Stronger relevance and genuine local signals can still win.

I’d first check the Google Business Profile categories, location relevance, and competitor listings. Reviews alone don’t guarantee higher Maps rankings.

First thing to do is edit their business with the original name. Keyword stuffing is against the GMB terms. You need Level 7-8 Google Guide account to edit such businesses.
 
Get keyword-rich reviews and build local backlinks for your domain. And get listed on high-authority citations like Yelp, BBB, Angie, or whatever is available in your country. And get reviews on them as well.
 
I would audit the top competitors closely before changing anything. Check their categories, location relevance, website pages and local backlinks. Keyword stuffed names may help, but I would not rename a legitimate business just to copy them.
 
In my opinion you should focus less on the keywords with high value instead you should fix you should optimize your GBP and gain some good reviews aswell as you should use quality backlinks and strong citations also check the proxy of secondary categories as they play a huge role in Google maps ranking.
