I also have a YouTube channel. At the start, I focused on one topic and posted regularly. Then I improved my videos based on what got more views.
What was your strategy for growing for the first time on YouTube.

I just kept posting consistently. Promoted my stuff on social media. Gained a decent audience but the amount of work that went into it was not worth it. A couple of months after I gave up, my videos took off out of nowhere but never had the motivation to pick it back up.

I’d focus on the topic first then just start posting and see what people respond to The first few videos can teach you a lot about what to improve
I do something similar too. Don’t overthink your initial uploads, but let the views and retention help guide you toward what is really resonating.

The topic and title or may be thumbnail pair make far more difference than consistency at the outset imho. What was the point of making 3 videos per week if no one even searches for or clicks the first one? start with a decent micro niche that has traffic and clean up the titles first.

Just focus on good content. If possible , collaborate with other big creators. They will collaborate with you only if you bring something for them on the table.

Most important step is finding out some niche where there is still scope left. If you just join a crowded niche, you reduce your probabilty of success by lot.
For me it was mch important to choose something i could produce videos on continuously rather than doing the daily routine. After ward i started watching which videos were generating clicks and the retention rates.
I makes my first videos more of an experiment really. I kept the concept the same, but played with different hooks and thumb nails and once one gets traction I makes every thing about that one format.

yeah, being consistent is really helpful for YouTube. If you have a defined niche, you will know better what your audience would like, and you can focus on doing videos that work.
Right, the initial lot is your test run phase. I would look at consistency first, and then rely on CTR, retention rate, and viewer response to get really serious about content that works.

for me posting consistently and creating only relevant and useful content works better.
I does not goes after subs from the start I just kept trying different topics hooks until I found one where people actually watched my videos.
