What's harder getting the first views or keeping viewers watching?

Interested to hear what creators think is currently the biggest challenge when growing a channel.
It is generally much easier to get your initial impressions than to hold on to them. while you can pays for the initial attention with a strong opening, holding ur audience till the end is quite challenging.

A punchier title , good content retention , right time to post means riding on trend , lean on boosting algorithm the most hardest part I think to maintain.

I’d say keeping viewers watching is harder. Getting those first views is mostly about having a good topic, title, and thumbnail, but actually keeping people interested throughout the video is much more challenging. That’s what really helps YouTube keep recommending your content ;)

I'd say keeping them watching is harder. Getting the first click is one thing but holding attention is where most videos lose people.

getting first views is harder at the start. once you find the right audience and topic it becomes easier to keep people watching. but if first few seconds are weak then good content can lose viewers fast

I still remember the first video I posted—a whole month went by without a single view. I believe the biggest challenge is maintaining your enthusiasm and consistently publishing content that the audience enjoys.
