Are LinkedIn Connections More Valuable Than Followers?

Hi everyone,
Do you think building genuine connections is more valuable for LinkedIn growth than simply gaining followers?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Definitely, genuine connection matter more than just having lots of followers. Real relationships build, engagement, and opportunities on LinkedIn .
 
In my experience, followers are more valuable. Content is more likely to reach a wider audience when the account has a large number of followers.
 
I think it depends on what you want followers help you reach more people but good connections can bring better opportunities.

Linkedin's algorithm pushes your stuff to people you actually have a relationship with. posting into the void is useless. I've created 2 accounts using the same network but different browsers. The first account had no friends. I just kept posting content and links. But I noticed that a few months later, this account disappeared from public search results, and its profile was no longer visible to others.

The second account I set up almost the same way, but I made sure to add a few active connections first. just 3 friends, that account hasn't even been up for a month yet and it's already way more visible and active than the first one ever was.

That’s right. I would concentrate on building relationships initially if my aim were trust and true interction before using followers to increase reach.
 
Followers are great for increasing your potential reach, but genuine connections usually bring more value because they are more likely to interact with your posts, remember your work, recommend you, and open doors to meaningful professional opportunities.

That’s an interesting observation. I also think having a few genuine, active connections can make a big difference.
Posting consistently is important, but without real engagement and interaction, content can easily end up reaching very few people.

Yes they are more valuable especially if you know your connections well.
