I created a profile a week ago, it's still alive, i'm not banned, not shadowbanned, zero warnings, nothing. I'm just commenting without any kind of promotion, just humor and jokes, even so my comments are "locked for review" Reddit keep them pending for several hours.

Comments that I wrote today will only appear in public tomorrow, when the post is already dead and nobody gives a shit. You can say whatever you want, but this social media is a total joke in 2026.

Pretty much you will have to endure that initial period. After a week or two restrictions would be lifted and account will be much more stable.
But yeah their anti spam policies are pretty rough and tbh unnecessary as the platform is still like at least 50% spam lol.
They hurt new legit users more than bot farms that know how to circumvent these rules.

Yeah, Reddit’s filters are brutal on new accounts now. Even normal comments can get held until you have more account history.

Reddit has always been like that. I used to be very active on the platform, looking for opportunities to make money. However, I’m not nearly as interested in Reddit anymore because its moderation system is just too confusing and unpredictable.

The filters for new accounts on Reddit are diff from other social media they wont make anything live instantly it takes time for them to trust accounts and that's how the platform works.

It's been a joke for a while. Reddit is not a platform to invest your time for promotion or making money.

yeah i can understand why you frustrated.waiting hours for normal comments show when you not even promoting anything pretty annoying. by the time the comment appears the discussion already over

Yeah, their anti spam policy or whatever it is that is responsible for all this to tight. Have had my share of the whole locking. You will just have to wait it out.

I also find Reddit’s moderation system really frustrating. Most of my posts and comments get removed almost immediately, which makes it very time-consuming for users to constantly adjust and rewrite their content.

I think that's not the reddit issue it must be the sub issue that you are trying to comment on. Try engaging in some low or no moderated subs try gaining some karma that can be also a requirement for that sub you're trying to comment on. Hope that help

platform is still like at least 50% spam
But then the reddit founders add tags like talk to real people :p

It’s always been a joke, what’s new? I’m amazed Google made the switch to giving it so much dominance too.

your profile is new so that is normal, you should not be complaining with a week-old account, that's a normal warmup process

Reddit is a great platform, but the new account filters can be really frustrating.
Sometimes normal comments get stuck for hours even when there’s nothing wrong with them.
By the time they finally appear, the conversation is already over.
Hopefully, things get smoother once the account builds some trust.

Reddit’s moderation system is far too strict these days, which can be frustrating for users. Recently, most of the content I’ve posted has been removed, and it honestly feels pretty helpless.

I've noticed the same thing with newer accounts. It's probably meant to fight spam but it also kills normal engagement when comments take hours to appear.

But yeah, the reviewing process of Reddit can be quite slow with fresh accounts regardless of the nature of the comment posted. So, just comment like normal for some time until you get account history.

Reddit can definitely feel frustrating when posts or comments don't get the response you expect. I think understanding each community's rules and contributing consistently is more effective than trying to promote something too quickly.
