My old videos from one year ago are still getting good views even today, but my new videos are only getting 100 to 1K views. The formatting is the same, still this is happening. How can I solve this?

Youtube can be very random about this.

Are those videos which are still performing well bringing you new subs?

this can happen if the format is same.youtube may testing your new videos different audience the topic may not have the same demand now.

This can happen even if your formatting is unchanged. Check CTR audience retention impressions & traffic sources for your new videos. Compare them with older successful videos to see what changed especially in topic title thumbnail or audience response.

Maybe try using high-quality proxies for it to start counting as views

Instead of making assumptions based on formatting, I would look at the older versus the newer video in Analytics. Look at impressions, CTR, retention and sources of traffic.usually the new topics are not generating the same demand for search/browse.

Older videos have already built up stable long-tail traffic, while new videos need to go through the algorithm's testing phase. You can optimize the titles and thumbnails, and encourage engagement within the first 3 days to boost early performance and unlock greater algorithmic recommendations.

What matters is how many subscribers your channel has. If your subscriber count is low, your videos may need more time to gain a significant number of views.

Is the video content identical? If so, this is a very common issue—I’ve encountered it often myself—because YouTube’s algorithm doesn’t repeatedly recommend videos with the same content.

I’d compare the old and new videos in Analytics rather than focusing only on the formatting The topic impressions CTR and retention can change a lot even when the video style looks similar. Finding where the drop starts should make the issue much easier to diagnose

A few quick things to check in Studio:

- Traffic Sources: Are old videos ranking in YT Search/Suggested while new ones rely purely on browse?
- Retention Curve: Compare the first 30s drop-off rate between old and new uploads.
- End Screens: Link your new uploads directly in the end screen & pinned comments of those performing old videos to funnel existing viewers.

Could be that your old videos are getting stronger search and suggested traffic, even if the format is the same. I’d check ctr, retention and traffic sources on the new videos and tweak the titles, thumbnails and first few seconds based on what’s changed.

Are you getting new subs with both of the videos, new and old?

What is your niche? Most probably, your niche might be saturated, or, there might be better channels on your same niche, either one can be def the reason.

Yes

But my old videos in the same niche are still getting views, while my new videos are stuck with very low views.

Same format does not necessarily mean same level of demand, comparing old and new ctr retention decreases and different traffic sources, there was a possibility of having wrong target audience

Even while keeping the format unchanged, change the way the piece opens. Skip the cumbersome greetings, and put the most dramatic or valuable content right at the beginning to keep viewers engaged.

Are you creating the same content in the videos? It could also be if you changed your niche. Focus on CTR and audience retention in your new videos.
