Google Ads suspended for suspicious payment activity. Help!

My Google Ads account got suspended for "Suspicious Payment Activity". My credit card details are real and match my name. Why did this happen and how can I fix it or appeal successfully?

It can happen even if the card is genuine. Check your billing/payment details and make sure everything matches. Then submit an appeal and explain that the card belongs to you. Don’t create a new Ads account or keep changing cards.

It may be because your card is new, which could have triggered a Google review. You can try submitting an appeal and explaining the situation in detail.

Google did not accept the level of risk you represented to their services at that particular moment. Your setup could have worked on another high-quality Google Ads account, so the issue does not directly come from your payment profile or your card.

However, if you want to increase your chances of reactivating accounts with the same setup that have received this suspension, I suggest using cards whose BIN is not associated with fraudulent activity and whose billing address (ZIP code, postal address) matches the billing information on your Google Ads account.

But once again, your payment method was not the primary reason for the suspension you received.

what campaign are you running and had you previously changed the card?

Could be the payment profile got flagged, not the card name. Check billing + verify the card if they ask, then appeal.

A genuine card alone doesn’t make the payment profile “clean” in Google’s eyes. I’d check BIN history, billing country/address consistency, payments profile history and recent payment-method changes before appealing.

Also, don’t keep swapping cards after the suspension — that can make the trust signals worse. There are too many variables to check here triggering this issue

honestly just wait a day or two and file an appeal, explain the card is yours and maybe attach a bank statement. dont try adding other cards in the meantime thats the worst thing you can do lol. if the card is legit one appeal usually fixes it
