That is right. It is not only because of the page's authority that it stays at that ranking position. Good relevance and search intent can do the trick as well.I agree. It is hard to know for sure when a website has actually lost authority because third party scores are only estimates. As long as the content remains highly relevant and satisfies search intent better than competing pages rankings may stay stable even if the site loses some link value.
