Help me decide

I have a few ideas. Please help me decide what’s the best to invest time and money into, considering 1) the year 2026 2) I’m a medical student so I can only invest 1-2 hours a day 3) i need monthly income

The ideas are: 1) Amazon KDP ebooks in the medicine/healthcare niche
2) SaaS tool for medical professionals (related to research)
3) Something else entirely i.e. YouTube automated videos etc

With only 1-2 hours/day, I would avoid anything that needs constant content production.

KDP can still make money, but it is very competitive now and usually takes volume, testing and time before you get predictable monthly income.

Automated YouTube is similar. It sounds passive, but in reality you are managing scripts, thumbnails, editing, topics, monetization issues, etc.

I would probably choose the medical SaaS idea, but keep it very small. Don't try to build a huge platform. Find one annoying repetitive task that researchers or medical professionals already do manually and solve only that.

Your biggest advantage is that you are already inside the medical niche and understand the problems better than most developers.

Most importantly, validate it with money, not opinions. Don't just ask people whether they would use it. Try to get actual preorders, prepaid subscriptions or at least deposits before building too much. People vote with their wallets, not with survey answers.

I’ve always had problems with marketing. I don’t know where to go, what to do to bring traction to the product; I don’t think actually building it is the biggest problem. Could you please guide me a little in the right direction for the marketing aspect of it? And how do i gauge interest? Reddit? Insta?
I’ve tried reddit before and got insta blocked by sub reddits even when I first tried building karma and repo in the sub reddits.
I would really appreciate your help again; thank you!’
 
1 - I tried Youtube Automation and it is a very big domain and if your videos are good then surely it will help you scale easily.
2 - the problem is its very general , i would go for medical if u are a madical major and know more about the field its all about digging down into the niche.
 
Your medical background is a big advantage here iwould pick a specific medical niche rather than compete in a broad market
 
If you NEED monthly income, then best get a job somewhere in a local business. If you want to be an entrepreneur, you have to remember you don't get a monthly paycheck. The buck stops and starts with you. Its too hard if you are at college to dedicate time online to business, and compete with everyone else. Your studies might suffer, and you won't make anything online is the dangerous tightrope you have to walk. Best of luck though. Its amazing what 2 hours or every day of the year can do! lol
 
You could develop your YouTube/TikTok presence by creating various short and long videos sharing your learning experiences and work process in the medical field. Share personal experiences from different perspectives, interspersed with real-time content. Spending 1 to 2 hours each day editing and posting videos would be more effective and reasonable.
 
Why not try them all? Can't expect the first thing you do to be successful. You can try each one for a week and in less than a month you will know which ones failed, which worked and which you can still improve upon.

Even with your limited time, with all the AI tools we have nowadays, you can do so much more than one could a few years back.
