Hey All

So i was woundering what type of backlinks you think is the best for ranking youtube videos in googles organic searches? Would it be

Web 2.0s
PPT/PDFs
Forum post

Whats your thoughts about that ? and what do you think about the keyword usages on those platforms towards the youtube video, also wouldent it work to just blast the video link with GSA or just like 100 relevant links since Youtube is pretty strong by itself

thanks

I’d care more about the page around the link than whether it’s a PDF, Web 2.0 or forum post

A relevant page that’s actually about the same topic makes more sense than 100 random links just because YouTube is a strong domain. I’d test a few of those before blasting it

Relevant niche pages and contextual links usually make more sense than Web 2.0s, PDFs, or forum spam for Google rankings.

First check whether Google already shows videos for the query. If it doesn’t, 100 links probably won’t fix the intent mismatch. I’d tighten the title, description and spoken content before touching GSA.

So the video is already at #7 for a good keyword so to speak so was thinking to blast it with a few relevant niche sites so to speak?, feel like the quality of links dosent have to be that top notch when it comes to YT, no?

At position seven the video is already indexed and trusted, so more links mostly repeat a signal Google already has. What moves seven to three is what searchers do after they click, which is why an embed on a page that already ranks for a related query does more than a hundred profile links. It sends viewers rather than a signal.

Blasting low-quality GSA links might work temporarily, but embedding the video on niche relevant blogs with actual reader traffic sends much stronger user engagement signals to google Since the domain authority of YouTube is already maxed out it’s the quality of the referral traffic and watch time coming from those embeds that pushes a video into the top 3.

Thanks for the tips, the video is already embedded on my website aswell and the websites rankings has increased since it was posted 3 weeks ago, more that i want to get it to number one basically

I would keep it simple and focus on useful links from relevant pages. The video should also match what people are searching for with a clear title and description. I would avoid adding links just for the sake of getting more links.

in the seventh position the video already has some credibility and indexing so additional links not make any difference to it.what will make a difference will be how it performs once clicked on by users and for that reason having the video embedded in an existing popular page is going to be much more valuable than creating hundreds of profile link.

I would go for a few solid links from relevant sites instead of blasting the video with hundreds of random ones

Links have had little effect on Youtube video rankings for quite some time now.

Im gonna try both, blast one video with a link blast and another with quality relevant links to another video, i keep you updated on the results

I’d focus on earning relevant links rather than building a large number of random backlinks A useful blog post niche resource page or community discussion that naturally references the video seems much more valuable than mass link building
