First Website. Got the idea for it, but no idea where to start. Please help!

before you touch hosting or a builder, answer one thing: how does anyone LAND on this site. thats the question that kills 90% of first sites, people build the thing then discover traffic is the whole game and they never planned for it. if the answer is seo, the build has to be structured around keywords from day one. if its social, the site is just a landing page and the real work is elsewhere. pick the traffic source FIRST and let it dictate the build, not the other way round. whats the idea and whos supposed to find it?

You can start simply by purchasing a domain and a basic hosting plan, though the exact approach will depend on the scale of your project. You could hire someone to handle the bulk of the video production, link building, and website setup delivering a fully functional site from the start, while you learn the ropes and make further adjustments yourself.

Before we talk domain or hosting — one question that decides everything else: how is anyone going to land on this site?

This is the thing most first-time builds skip, and it's usually why they stall out after launch. If your traffic is going to come from SEO, the whole site needs to be structured around specific keywords from day one — content, page structure, even URL setup. If it's going to be social or paid traffic, the "website" is really just a landing page, and the real work is in the campaigns driving people to it, not the site itself.

So before anything else — what's the idea, and who's supposed to find it? Once I know the traffic source, I can tell you exactly how the site should be built around it (and what NOT to waste time/money on).

I mostly work on the performance/conversion side of things (funnel pages, landing pages built for paid and affiliate traffic), so happy to help either way — just want to make sure we're building the right thing for how people will actually find you.

You can use WordPress with elementor in order to build your site. These do not require coding knowledge and they are perfect for beginners. I would advise you though to learn html and css in order to understand what you're doing. Last but not least you can use AI in order to speed up the process, and/or teach you things that you need to do.

Don’t overcomplicate the first build. Buy a domain, get decent hosting, install WordPress, and build a simple version of the idea first.

You’ll learn more from launching a rough working site than spending weeks comparing tools before you start.
