Agentic AI = Legal Spam bots?

I mean, we used to spend a lot of time figuring out ways to generate cool automated content, navigate and interact with websites programmatically, scrape data we shouldnt really scrape.

it used to be called Blackhat, Spam, Botting.


Today, all those same tasks are "Agentic AI",

7 figure YC startups legitimized blackhat tactics by sticking AI into the mix, and now they all want to learn how to do stuff we been doing from day dot!

no drama, just sayin

I'd say botting is mainly legal (not a lawyer), it's just website TOS that you are breaking, not actual laws in most places. The agents will come up against the same defences that we BHers have been getting for years.

Agentic AI is essentially traditional blackhat automation rebranded with AI wrappers to make web scraping and task automation acceptable to mainstream investors and businesses.
