I’m trying to find a decent rank tracking setup and could use some suggestions.

Right now I’m testing a few different tools, but I keep running into the same problem.

Some tools show rankings very accurately, but the reporting is terrible.

Others have nice reports, but when I manually check a few keywords, the positions don’t always match.

I’m mainly interested in tracking a few things:

Google rankings
local results
SERP features
competitor movements
and ideally historical changes

I don’t need some massive agency platform with 50 features I’ll never use.

Just something reliable that gives me clean data without costing a fortune.

What are you guys using these days?

Also, do you trust rank trackers completely, or do you still manually check important keywords from time to time?

Would really appreciate some recommendations before I waste money testing another five tools.

Prioritize data accuracy over fancy reporting.

For local SEO, make sure the tracker supports location-specific results and SERP features.

It's also worth manually checking the most important keywords occasionally since rankings can vary by location and personalization.

I’d keep it simple. SE Ranking or SEO PowerSuite are worth checking if you want something affordable with solid daily tracking. Just make sure you track the correct location and device, since rankings can vary quite a bit.
