I accidentally registered an account with a phone number. Did I f*ck it up?

So I got a new phone and made an account for my Google Play stuff etc, and I wanted to create another separate gmail for my YouTube channel.

I don't know what I did, but instead of a gmail account, I got some weird string of numbers like this:

[email protected]


Looks like I entered my phone number but I did not enter a gmail name, so they gave me that instead.

Now to get a gmail, I found out you have to log in with that account, then go and create a new gmail, so they "upgrade" that account to a gmail one and that one becomes the recovery one.

The problem is, I cannot do this now because it says my phone was used too many times for verifications. I only have one account so I don't get it.

Im going to wait for some hours and see if the cooldown settings.

Anyway my question is... is this going to screw up my channel reach or something? This is my secondary phone number and phone device, I wanted to have it separated for my new channel. Now I don't know if I have cooked this because of this.

Nah, you're good man. That weird @id.gle address won't mess with your channel's reach, just wait out the phone verification cooldown to sort out the gmail part

The cooldown never reseted so im now stuck with this weird piece of crap address thing. Looks like there is a limited amount of verifications even if you don't use them. Not sure why I requested verifications a number of times without using them but the point is it doesn't work.

yeah definitely don't keep trying to verify it every few hours or the timer just keeps resetting. just leave it completely alone for like 3 or 4 days and then try again. in the meantime you can still just use the channel with that weird login, it won't affect anything.

No i think this won’t affect your youtube reach because it’s just a google account setup issue and also try again after the verification cooldown.
