hey eveyone, something I noticed recently, one of my pages is doing well in some countries but I don’t see it ranking much in the other country. I am using the same page and content for both so I am confused about why this is happening. could it be because of competition or how people search in diffrent countries?

has anyone seen this with their own website? please give me suggestions.

yes, I have experienced it before. the ranking is going to differ widely based on where you are from, due to the difference in competition, search behavior, languages used nd the backlinks that come from there.

Yeah, it is a vry common thing when you target internationally. I would analyze the SERP, competition nd backlink of each country separately before modifying the content.

it might be that the keyword you are ranking on is not that competitive than the other ones you checked

First, other countries might have the same sites running same site keywords and optimization or even better than yours. And as such they will be favored by location. Another factor is language barrier except you are using a good AI to translate verbatim your words and intents into the language of choice of the locals of such countries. If you do your research about ranking companies of those countries I think you will know better how to position and improve your performance.

yes i've seen this happen too different countries can have different competition search intent and even preferred wording so the same page may perform very differently checking the local SERPs and GSC by country is a good starting point

Check the local competition and keywords first. Sometimes people search the same thing in a slightly diffrent way.

Yes, this happens sometimes. I would not assume it is only a content issue.

Google can show different results by country because local relevance, competition, language and search behavior, and the strength of competing sites can all differ. Google also provides country-level filtering in Search Console specifically so you can compare which pages and queries perform better in different countries.

Yeah this can happen because Google looks at local search intent competition and location signals too I would compare the actual SERPs in each country first

Are the sites in different languages? If yes then there's probably more competition in one language over the other.

This is pretty common, and may depend on your link profile in different territories etc. It may not often even matter depending where you actually need or want the traffic to be coming from. Weirdly, even in different browsers from the same location and IP i've seen different search results, so really there can be a lot of variation in multiple regards.

Yeah, this happens a lot. Different countries can have different competition, search intent, and wording. I would compare the SERPs and GSC data for each country first before changing the content.

This sounds like the right approach to me.. and of course weighted to the territories you need to rank in should that be a factor that matters to your bottom line!

Yeah, definitely happens. Google considers country relevance, local competition, backlinks, search intent and even how people phrase searches differently. Same content doesn’t guarantee the same rankings in every country.

yeah, this can happen even with the same page. competition, local search intent and backlink signals can be different in each country.

I’d check the keywords and top ranking pages country by country instead of treating them as the same market.

Yeah, this is pretty normal. Google can vary results by country based on competition, search intent, language, and local relevance, even with identical content.
