This could really be more about the source of power for the domains rather than the tool that builds them. if the pattern continues to occurs in unrelated fields then definitely.

in my opinion it was less about the building domain and more about the authority that the domains already have. If the website contains actual content on the topic then there is a gud reason for google to rank it.
