My Background
Worked as a senior full-stack developer for a US based company that took 2000$ a month. But due to the budget cuts, they have reduced it to the 1000$ a month and gave me more responsibilities to my role by laying off some devops devs. So I worked for a month and got the first 1000$ paycheck but it did not feel like enough money. After paying all the bills and everything, only 50$ left on that check. ( i already investing 500$ for the rainy day funds, so when i get 1000$, after bank fees and other fees, that i only get like 800$ and and once i invest the 500$ only have 300$ to pay the bills and get food for the month )Well, I have to work 70 hours a week for the company and even I had to work for Christmas due to their new implementations and the new hirings. So after the first 1000 paycheck, I just quit the company. So I have a little rainy fund to survive until I find another job. So this got me thinking, that if i had a sidehustle, that when these kinds of days I’ll be okay financially and the mentally without worrying. So here I am starting a journey about the reddit automation.
How will you earn money through this hassle?
Well, it is not that I am going to sell accounts and sell view upvotes kind of things. I have few different ideas to make money out of the platform.- Promoting my portfolio to get customers
- Provide a service to the users that they can post links in subs and comments and the posts to promote their businesses.
- Since I already have the platform with multi-tenant features, I can sell some seats to some customers, but if I want to.
- Sell some old karma warmed accounts so we have a self-sufficient platform.
So far has 4 accounts that has over 100 karma, and 17 accounts over 50 karma and to do some operations and reddit manipulations like to make posts trendy and gain more karma, i have 48 , and 57 low quality two batched, and 40 new accounts that being warm up for now. And in the future, will there be more accounts and so far trying to make the low suspending platform so when i scale the platform, there is no money wastage on infra.
What have I implemented so far?
So far, the system is written in python, and React. And some services are deployed to AWS for the scale, and the same services are hosted in the dedicated server that can reduce the AWS bill but the tradeoff is the scale. When it comes to features, I have developed necessary features and these are the features.- Managing proxy pools including the sessions, and the statics ips that linked to the accounts
- Activity ledger to monitor accounts activities
- AI comments and postings
- Subreddits database that has 75,000 subreddits with minimum karma and accounts needed to post and comment and with some restrictions guardrails for each sub.
- AI posting and comments operations, and few others to do the warmups
- Unibox to read messages and notifications from a single place
- Workflows like n8n kind of UI to make custom workflow with conditions and custom codes.
- Admin panel to monitor everything in the future.
What are my goals?
The first goal is to find a job. But it can take a few weeks to months. I meant that some offers are low pay but high responsibilities ( like 600$ a month for 40 hr a week ).When it comes to these journey goals, the first goal is actually make 1$ from this, and then there are few milestones.
- 10$ [ NOT YET ]
- 100$ [ NOT YET ]
- 1000$ [ NOT YET ]
So these are the goals, and this is the journey and will update the thread from time to time, so I can look back and find the mistakes I have made and what needs to be improved.
