Are you a professional designer? if yes the you can open an account on Fiverr.
 
practice more and more so you can be better in designing, dont give up!

There is no doubt that Canva is a good site, I have been using Canva for a long time myself, but Adobe is much better than Canva and it makes you look more professional. There are some things you can do better than Adobe. Compared to Canva, Adobe gives you a completely free hand, while Canva has built-in templates that you have to change.

you can use some ai tool that can provide free like banners, thumbnails, profile photos etc. but itls limited like grok ai its provide you 20 image generation a day. but recomend use canva free its best to create any design like you want also vista create its alslo help to create design for free but its limited.
 
I think if you love design making just go start with adobe illustrator photoshop youtube has lots of tutorial.
 
You could be better in canva by daily practicing. Always keep your designs clean and simple.Keep element and text lined up. Don't use to much fonts and colours.Always use 1-2 fonts and few colours to keep your design simple clean and attractive. By practicing these things in your daily designs makes you better in canva. You can also explore about canva on youtube. There are many online courses available on youtube.

Another good option is offering free work in small business groups or creator communities — many YouTubers or new brands need banners and thumbnails. It’s a good way to build a portfolio while gaining real experience.
 
Apparently illustrator is the wave nowadays but it’s complicated compared to canva lol. Canvas interface makes it a bit easier. Check out some of the posts in here or YT / TT for guided videos

after you have some examples, you can move to Fiverr or Upwork and start charging small amounts.

YouTube can be a great place to learn about Canva tricks and more effective design processes. However, I would choose videos that teach about layout design, typography and branding, not about Canva itself.
 
Try small Facebook groups or Discord servers for creators, streamers, local businesses, stuff like that. People there usually need banners/thumbs and are way more likely to say yes to a free trial if you keep it simple and ask for a testimonial or portfolio credit. I’d do a few limited slots only though, otherwise free work can turn into endless revisions real quick... idk, that part gets old fast.
