Hello, looking for some advice. I write daily for 3 of the biggest papers in the world (I wont disclose which, but think Newsweek, Usa Today type papers in terms of size). The salary is really, really not great and I am looking to find ways to leverage this in other ways. Do you guys have any recommendations/ideas?

I write on general news, pr and finance

That’s a great opportunity! You could leverage the exposure, credibility, and industry connections from working with major publications. Have you considered using this experience to build a personal brand or attract higher-paying clients?

however, when we combine finance, PR, nd my personal branding strategy, which I am going to use on your article to give u an identity, then the return on investment from that will be much greater than through advertising.

of course the first thing i would think of is using the credibility nd not only the money. getting ur works published regularly in prestigious magazines is already an impressive portfolio. it would allow you to offer ur services as a freelance writer, ghostwriter, or consulltant.

your credential as a writer count more than the money you will earn. create your portfolio using your byline nd look for opportunitie in writing as freelancer, public relations consultant, or any kind of writing job.

Leverage the bylines into premium freelance, ghostwriting, PR, and consulting clients.

Use those big name bylines to build your portfolio, pitch higher paying clients, offer writing services and grow your personal brand the credibility can be worth more than the salary if you leverage it properly.

I would definitely use that experience to build a personal brand. Writing for major publications gives you credibility, so you could offer freelance writing, consulting, or even start your own newsletter. You have a lot more leverage than you might think.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate it!

hi i think you can use your experience to get freelance writing or consulting work with better paying clients.

Authors at news pages could make earnings with making brand-name quote of web link to redirect readers for other promotion or introduction on an expose which need attentions of traffics .

however, it is the byline that really matter . I would turn this kind of resource into a blog, a newsletter, as well as paid content nd public relation work, rather than rely solely on the salary from the newpaper.

If it turn out that the site does qualify, I would recommend getting the adsense back first and then moving on somewhere else becuz no other program will even come close, especially with anything but tier 1 traffic.

Securing daily bylines at major outlets provides substantial leverage. That authority can translate into high paying B2B ghostwriting opportunities for executives, PR consulting for brands, or a paid newsletter. Companies are willing to pay a premium for newsroom level credibility.

If you already have strong publication experience I’d monetize the expertise rather than the employer name Think freelance writing consulting ghostwriting newsletter work or helping brands with PR and content could be good options

writing experience alone is valuable specialized freelance work in a niche you already know could bring in much more than a general writing gig.

from what I understand, these byline have more value than the compensation being offered. I would utilize the bylines to build a strong portfolio nd then go after high-end client for ghostwriting/PR/finance work.
