What's the craziest true but weird thing about your country?

People talk about how insane the Appalachians are. Not the mountains but the fact there are literal crazy people in the mountains that are disconnected from society in the continental United States of America. It's not QUITE horror movie level mostly but sometimes publicly at least it really is.

The other day, at a dinner, I met someone from the area and said "Listen I was telling this group earlier about this. Am I lying?"

Guy's face hardened. "No the fuck you are not." and proceeded to go into a 20 minute rant about it.

The trails are the trails for a reason. People and animal and terrain. Do not deviate as a tourist.

What about you guys?

so my version of wilderness is getting lost in a mall and ending up in a different postcode.

You guys talk about mysterious people living deep in the mountains. Meanwhile, in Dubai, if someone is disconnected from society for more than 10 minutes, it is usually because their Wi-Fi dropped and they are filing an emergency report.

Honestly every region has it's legends, but the appalachians definitely have a way of making outsiders remember they are visitors. beautiful place, incredible people but nature doesn't care if you are a tourist stay on the trail and respect the mountains.
 
0.4 billion housemaids and 0.4 billion housewives and 0.6 billion unemployed and bankrupt people. Only 2 lack people in our country files income tax and they are employees of amazon and microsoft.

Rest of nation is bankrupt... or people who run away with bank's money with network of fake companies with fake businesses worth multi million dollars running from 1 chair and 1 tea cup.

People are very nonsence in my country. Everybody thinks they are doing right at any kind of environment. Trust me they are not. This problem is now a social problem now a days in my region.
