Want to start blogging but not sure where to begin.

I'm planning to start blogging, but I'm a bit lost on where to begin.
Do you really need a website to start, or is it okay to begin without one?
Also, what are some basic tips or simple things you wish you knew when you were just starting out?
Would really appreciate some real-world advice.
If you have a website to copy it is advise to rewrite the content and fix the plagiarism to pass copyscape for original content,it is good to blog about what you have experience with for easy writing.

start with Medium, LinkedIn Articles, WordPress.com you dont need a website.
Pick a niche and post atleast once a week. share to your social handle and engage with the comments and community.

I would recommend you to find some niche relevant high ROI site first and then find the pattern or content frequency they are choosing and the monitization model you are going to choose. Sometimes initial reseasrch are important for long term goal. make a comeptitors research first. Are they making good or not.

starting blog require having idea about content writing and web ranking to secure a hosting WordPress pages to manage for quick effect/index in target niche.

I started with free platforms like Medium, and even Linkedin. YOu may get your own site later, especiallyif you are considering long term. But for me, the first thing to put in place is having clear picutre of what you want to write about. So, get a clear topic, write quality contents that meet people's need and be consisitent even when there is little traffic. I'd not overthink it, if I was you.

Starting on Medium is fine, but building your own site gives you more control over time. Choose one niche, publish useful content regularly, understand simple SEO principles, and take action instead of chasing perfection.

Get your own website from day one, don’t rely only on platforms

Start with a small niche, target simple long-tail topics, and publish consistently

WordPress and Wix are two platforms that allow you to begin blogging with a website. Stay consistent, produce informative or entertaining content, concentrate on a niche that interests you, and always add your own voice.

Yes you need a website to blog. You can start by researching profitable niches for your blog. Then you can create blog posts through chatgpt or any other A.I. content creation tool. After that you proofread and humanize the content and you can post it on your blog. Alternatively you can also write articles on Medium as well for double monetization. Good luck!

Let me be very clear: Most people can't start a blog not because of a lack of information, but because they overthink it.

Regarding the website topic:
If you're thinking, "Let me try it and see if I like it," starting on a free platform is quite logical. But if you're thinking, "I'm going to build something long-term," I think opening your own site from the beginning will give you a clearer picture.

When I started, I wish someone had told me to just pick a platform and write, even without a fancy site. You don’t need a full website at first. Medium, Substack, or even social posts work. The hard part is consistency and finding your own voice, not the tech setup.

You may even start without having a website, but if you are serious about it then create one for urself. Choose a single topic writes some thing useful on it and does not complicate things in the beginning.

You don’t need a website to start, but I’d get one if you’re serious about building something long-term. Start simple, pick a narrow niche, write genuinely useful posts, and don’t obsess over traffic in the first few months. Consistency beats fancy design/tools.

You don’t need a website to start, but having one gives you more control long-term. Focus first on a clear niche, consistent content, and learning what your audience values.

I would begins by creating a website if you were really going for longevity. choose one subject that you can write about post some helpfull content on it, and learns from the impressions instead of perfecting everything at once.
