What SEO activity takes up the most of your time.

The majority of my effort is invested in content quality and competitor analysis. Link acquisition and technical diagnostics account for a smaller share, while a significant portion of my time is devoted to deciphering authentic user search intent.

Content and link building are the two processes that I spend a lot of my time on, while technical SEO is something that I do continuously.
This ratio normally changes depending on the site’s requirements.
 
For me, content creation eats the most time, then link building comes after and after that technical SEO, honestly. Lately I have been spending more energy on refreshing existing pages, and making the internal linking better, instead of always publishing new articles, over and over again.

I think the biggest challenge is deciding which activity is actually worth the time instead of just staying busy with SEO tasks.
 
For me it’s link building, mainly prospecting and checking site quality. Content and technical work can be systemized a bit more, but good links still take a lot of manual filtering.
 
in my case link building consumes the largest portion of my time because researching and contacting the right prospects may require a lot of effort.the content writing and editing process may also consume a lot of time however researching and outreach may be more difficult.

it is not that I had problems doing the SEO work but rather what i spends my tym doing after implementing the changes trying to figure out why certain pages shifted but others has not.
 
For me, content research takes the most time.
Finding the right search intent and understanding what competitors are doing can take longer than writing the content itself.
 
Biggest challenge are google updates. The worst thing is that google doesn't even announce these updates.
 
Content updates take the most time for me. Researching topics, improving existing pages, and making sure information stays relevant usually requires more effort than any other SEO task.

All these three take good amount of time. Plus there are more aspects of seo like site speed and all.

That is about how I go about that process. Rather than creating internal links,I prefer to start by improving existing pages and filling content gaps. Technicaal SEO will remain on a maintenance mode until sometihing comes up in the GSC.

Truthfully i think key word research and deciding on what to publishes is what takes up more of my tym than actually writing itself. When I knows where i am headed the rest is pretty fast.
 
For me, it’s content research and updating old pages. Finding what actually matches search intent takes way more time than the technical SEO stuff.
 
Link building is usually the most time consuming part for me it is mainly about finding the right websites and making sure they are actually good planning and organizing content can be pretty straightforward but finding good places to get links from often means doing a lot more digging myself
 
For me, link building takes up most of the time. Finding relevant sites, checking their quality and then doing outreach can take quite a while. Content is easier to plan once the topic is clear, but link building usually needs more manual work.
 
yeah client communication can take more time than the actual seo work sometimes.the briefs audits content work and link placements can be done pretty quick but explaining why rankings need more time after an audit is where things get difficult.
 
For me, it's definitely content creation and updating old posts—researching, writing, and reformatting eats up way more time than I'd like. Link building comes second, but at least that feels like a win when something lands.
