I’m asking because I’m planning to change the AdSense account on one channel, but I remember that a few years ago when I did this, the channel was demonetized within the same month for reused content, even though everything had been fine before that.
I don't think changing AdSense is the reason your monetization was disabled. It's possible that during the activation process, YouTube's review process unintentionally detected old videos that had previously violated their rules.
I’d separate the two events. AdSense changes can trigger checks, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the check caused the reused-content issue. If you’re going to switch, make sure the channel is clean and keep screenshots of the current monetization status just in case
I dont think changing AdSense itself means a manual review, but it could be that the channel got checked around the same time and the reused content was noticed.
Yes, it does trigger a review. In fact, even changing the channel’s language, country, or name can trigger a bot review. The channel is then placed in a period of limited activity while the system evaluates it.
