I use AI quite a bit for SEO these days. It’s useful for getting ideas, checking keywords, making outlines, and a bunch of other small things that would normally take time.
But I still don’t like relying on it for everything.
One thing I wouldn’t fully trust AI with is deciding which keywords a site should actually go after.
I’ve seen AI suggest keywords that look good because they have decent search volume, but when you look at the actual search results, they’re not really a good fit for the website. Sometimes the intent is different from what the tool thinks it is.
I also prefer checking competitors myself. AI can summarize a competitor’s page pretty quickly, but I still want to see the SERP, the pages that are ranking, their links, how the site is structured, etc. There are usually little things you notice by looking at it yourself.
For me, AI is more of a shortcut than something I’d let make the final decision.
Maybe I’m being too cautious though.
What’s one SEO task you guys still prefer doing manually, even with all the AI tools available now?
