Is the USA Sim method still the best to target USA audience?

I’m thinking of running a multiple TikTok account with multiple IPhone, I saw a lot of people talking about this, some say to use just a vpn and you are good, other says to only use proxy because the sim method is old, what do you guys thinks?

Honestly I was thinking of using a USA sim + proxy at the same time, but if not having the sim doesn’t change much I would rather not spend the money for it without a reason

Also in case it’s still good, is a not active sim good enough?

A US SIM alone won’t guarantee US reach. TikTok looks at more than the SIM, so content language, engagement, device signals, and audience behavior matter too.

The reply above is right that a SIM alone doesn't set your audience, so let me take the two questions it left open. An inactive SIM is the one case where the method clearly fails, because the only job that number does is receive the verification code. If it can't receive a message, it can't do the single thing you'd be paying for. And once the account is verified, the number isn't read again unless you're asked to verify a second time, so it never touches reach.

On the VPN against proxy part, that's the wrong axis. What matters is whether the exit address is residential or mobile, and whether it stays the same address for that one account. A shared exit that thousands of people leave from, and that changes country between sessions, reads stranger than an ordinary home connection.

I tried uk tiktok and that tricked died. I had to get a uk ip and then it started to work better.

maybe you need a usa ip too? I don't use sims anymore on my usa phones and they work fine.

Honestly I would skip the US SIM. A proxy with a consistent setup should be enough for most cases. An inactive SIM probably does not add much either, so I would not spend extra money on it unless you actually need the US number.

Not necessarily anymore. A US SIM can still be one location signal, but TikTok also looks at IP, device settings, language, location and how people interact with your content.

No need to overcomplicate it aconsistent setup is probably more important than having a us sım
